Sri Maan Sant Gyani Baba Jarnail Singh Ji Khalsa Bhindranwale and his daughter

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh

Khushwant Singh reports:

'On a later visit to Amritsar I got an inkling into the reasons of Bhindranwale's popularity. I will narrate two incidents to illustrate this. One day a young girl came to see Bhindranwale. ..... She clutched his feet and sobbed out her story of how she was maltreated by her husband's family for failing to extract more money from her parents and of her husband's unwillingness to take her side.

Bhindranwale asked her name and where she lived. "So you are a daughter of the Hindus," he said.

"Are you willing to become the daughter of a Sikh?" She nodded. Bhindranwale sent a couple of his armed guards to fetch the girl's family. An hour later a very frightened trio consisting of the girl's husband and his parents were brought to his presence.

"Is this girl a daughter of your household?", he demanded.

They admitted she was. "She tells me that you want money from her father. I am her father." He placed a tray full of currency notes before them and told them: "take whatever you want". However, the three instead craved forgiveness.'

Sat Sri Akaal!
I am picking an off-beat question ,but its been lingering in my mind from a long time.I read in K.S Brar's book Operation Bluestar-that baba Bhindranwale was staying in akaal takht,a place venerated as after sukhasan Guru sahib is kept below the flour in a room.Book reads that no one is permissible to stay in akal takht in night as it is considered bedbi, but babaji bypassed it.

Anon Ji, I will qoute what a Singh who was with Sant Ji said in an interview about them, "Sri Maan Sant Gyani Baba Jarnail Singh Ji Khalsa Bhindranwale had so much respect for Gurbani and Guru. Once I know we were sleeping in the same room, and we used to just lie in the floor rather than using beds. There were some prayer books up in the rafters and one time one somehow got loose and fell down at Jarnail Singh Ji’s feet. He was sleeping and didn’t realize what had happened. When he got up and saw the book lying by his feet he cried, “This is an insult to Gurubani, how could I do that?” He was very disturbed about this and wouldn’t eat or sleep. Sant Kartar Singh Ji went to him and said, ‘Jarnail Singh, this is not your mistake. You didn’t do anything wrong.’ But Jarnail Singh was in such a pain that he read the whole of the Guru Granth Sahib as an apology."

“You only love Gurbani like that when you know it has provided you so much. There are some people who respect it for nothing, it’s just a gesture. Just because of tradition they bow before it. Jarnail Singh Ji was not a tradition. He was the living image of Gurubani. If you wanted to see some Sikh out of the Guru Granth Sahib, Jarnail Singh Ji was the one.”

On the other hand K.S.Brar talks about beadbi of Satguru Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj. Could a sahibzada of guru gobind singh ji maharaj ever do that?? Think about where this information is coming from. KS Brar, the same KS Brar who led the army into the house of satguru sri guru nanak dev ji maharaj. The same KS Brar who along with Indira Gadhi came in to destroy sikhi, to destroy our Guru Sahib. Does he mention in his book, about the 2,500 saroops of satguru sri guru granth sahib ji maharaj which were burnt??

When you talk about Guru Granth Sahib ji, do you ever bother to give Guru ji enough respect as you are giving it to Baba Jarnail Singh ji Bhindrawale?

Strange Bedfellows: Sikhs Join Cause With Kashmiris

It was reported a few days ago that certain Sikh seperatist groups in Punjab had formed alliances with Kashmiri Muslims and other minorities to wage a joint struggle against "state oppression and terrorism."

While it is commendable that these groups are putting aside traditional differences to achieve their respective goals, it is also a cause for grave concern. The primal urge to gain victory has overshadowed fundamental differences in religious philosophy - philosophy which has guided both groups in how they conduct themselves in conflicts over the centuries.

Seperatists today, including Kashmiri fighers, have increasingly targetted civilians to further their cause. Random killings of 'non-believers' and bombings at crowded market places have become commonplace. Are we so far gone that we are going to associate ourselves with these attrocities? What will the Sikh groups in question say when their alliance partners wage a war without conscience?

During a period in history when the rulers were committed to eliminating all Sikhs, one eye-witness wrote this, "They (Sikhs) do not kill a woman, a child or a coward running away from the fight. They do not rob any person nor do they take away the ornaments of a woman, be she a queen or a slave girl. They commit no adultery, rather they respect the women of even their enemies. They always shun thieves and adulterers and in generosity, they surpass Hatim".

For the Sikhs, the end has never justified the means. Traditionally, how ever pressing the circumstances, Sikhs have never raided or destroyed the place of worship of another religion, executed prisoners of war, forced conversion upon others or shed the blood of innocents and non-combatants. There is a reason why we are called 'sant, sepahi, sewak' - the alliance makes strange bedfellows indeed!'

What will Baba Jernail Singh Ji say to this, I wonder.

I wish we get aware of what are hindus doing to us. They have created so many bad stereotypes like JOKES ON SARDARS. People we need to be strong, we can not stay back and let them portrait us wrongly. ANAKH JAGAUNI pao.
